"Flight Debris” is an experimental mixed media painting, using materials including: acryllic and spray paint; collaged papers from my personal recycling, magazines, and books; and incorporating the dusty soil of Northern New Mexico to add texture and coloration. No “design” guided this piece; every step was intuitive and playful. The end result emerged as a surprise, giving the piece a life of its own. Such a process is felt in the painting’s vibrant energy, making it ready to command a wall and hang as a bold centerpiece.
